Project Name: The Government of Kuwait National Oil Refinery
Location:         Kuwait City, Kuwait
The Details:     This 33 square kilometre mega facility is the Government of Kuwait's national pride. When selecting a company to install and service their flagship oil refinery the Government had the choice of many leading British, American and European companies.

They chose Universal Security for their proven installation and project management expertise allied with their excellent service delivery. Having recently won the project in the second quarter of 2008, Universal have now started the first phase which is due for completion by the end of the year.
 

Project Name: The Willis Tower
Location:         51 Lime Street, City of London
The Details:     The newest iconic skyscraper in the City of London, In the heart of the City of London, a bold new landmark is taking shape. The 26-storey tower is the new London home of Willis one of the World's premier insurance services firms. Designed by Sir Norman Foster and featuring a distinct stepped and curved facade, the 125-metre tower is ground breaking in other ways. A bespoke security system protects its people and assets, leveraging the benefits of a secure IP network.

By creating a resilient network based upon building blocks common to IT, Willis are able to manage and adapt their physical security quickly and easily to meet the growing challenges of business life. A purpose designed network carries high resolution CCTV from over one hundred Panasonic cameras to the new security control centre in the heart of the Tower. Added to this is a secure smartcard Access Control system with the same IP based flexibility making future moves or changes simply a matter of plug and play.

The system was installed and commissioned by Universal Security Systems who also provided the design capability for the IP CCTV system.

Project Name: 30 St Mary Axe
Location:         City of London
The Details:     Arguably the London's most iconic skyscraper in London the building officially known as 30 St Mary Axe, but better known as "The Gherkin" is an integration of a number of systems including Access Control, CCTV, and Barriers.

Our system design allowed for the flexibility of multiple tenants over multiple floors that are continually moving in and moving out to have control over their individual staff, yet allow the landlord to have full control of the systems and people within the building.
 

Project Name: Visa Europe
Location:         Multiple Sites - National & Europe
The Details:     Integrated Access Control and CCTV with Direct HR Interface at Visa Europe. The system consists of a Honeywell ProWatch Corporate System with standby server which controls the access control system. The system controls 4 sites in the UK along with regional sites in all the major European cities. The database links directly into the Visa human resources department who are responsible for adding, editing and terminating card holder records and secure access rights which enables Visa to keep a closed control over everyone that has access to their buildings.

The system also consists of a CCTV system consisting of multiple Pelco matrices and Honeywell Fusion DVR's. These integrate directly into the access control system to provide point of alarm CCTV retrieval plus full cause and effect delivery to the security team.

The system also consists of a fully integrated visitor management system which allows recognised visitors to be added to the system and given a valid access control card with access to the specified areas concerned with their current visit thus facilitating freedom of movement for the specified visitor.
 

Project Name: The Home Office
Location:         Multiple Sites - UK
The Details:     Home Office Secure Access System with Incorporated Visitor System. This secure access system consists of a Honeywell ProWatch Enterprise system. With two regional servers, one in the south and one in the north of England. A single enterprise server synchronises the two regional servers.

There are 86 regional offices and immigration posts around the UK and central Europe that are connected to this system. At each location there is a photo verification and identification station to validate each cardholder who attempts to gain access with a valid Home Office access card. This gives a visual verification that the cardholder is the same person that is presenting the card, and that the card is valid for that area.

At each of these locations there is also a Honeywell visitor management terminal that is also connected to the Southern access control regional server to verify and validate authorised visitors and to ensure that the visitor is within the designed limitations set out in the Home Office guide lines for visitors to secure areas.
